Threadline

Languages

What it is

Threadline can be used in several languages. Your platform's owner chooses which ones are offered; you choose the one you see.

Choosing your language

  • Click the language button (the Aĉ–‡ icon) at the top of any page and pick a language, or go to Settings → Profile → Language.
  • Your choice is saved on your account, so it follows you to every device and into the emails you get.
  • The button only appears when more than one language is offered.

Arabic and other right-to-left languages turn the whole screen around. Messages keep their own direction, so an English message still reads left to right.

Your workspace's language

Admins can set a Default language under Workspace Settings. Teammates who have not picked a language see Threadline in it, and get their emails in it.

Your customers

  • AI replies come in the language the customer writes in. For stickers or one-word messages, each assistant has a Reply language when unclear.
  • The website chat bubble shows its buttons in the visitor's browser language, or in one language you choose on the channel page. See Website widget.
  • Your own wording (saved replies, auto-replies, templates, the knowledge base) is sent exactly as you wrote it. Write a version per language if you serve several.

Common questions

A word is still in English. It has not been translated yet. Ask your platform's owner; they can fix any line.

Can I use a language that is not in the list? Only the languages your platform offers appear. Your platform's owner can add more.
