Threadline

Getting Around

What it is

This page explains the parts of Threadline that are on every page: the sidebar, search, the notification bell, the Help menu and the theme switch.

The problem it solves

Threadline has many features. Without a clear map you would hunt through menus to find Deals, Reports or Settings. The navigation groups related pages, and search lets you jump to any page, contact or conversation by typing a few letters.

1. The sidebar

On the left, pages are grouped. Click a group's name to fold it open or shut; Threadline remembers your choice.

Group Pages
Overview Dashboard, Getting started
Inbox Conversations, Saved replies
Contacts Contacts, Segments & groups
Messaging Channels, WhatsApp links
Broadcast Broadcast
Automations Automations
AI Knowledge, Assistants, Answer review, Playground
Sales Deals, Lead finder, Lead Forms
Store Orders, Products, Stores
Social Posts, Report, Accounts
Reports Inbox performance, Campaigns, Automations, Usage Report
Developer API tokens, API reference, Webhooks
Workspace Team, Media library, Support, Guide
  • A lock next to a page means your plan does not include that feature. Click it to see plans.
  • Agents see only what they can use: the Inbox, Knowledge, Answer review, Playground, Deals, Lead finder, Orders, Products, Posts, Report and the Guide.
  • At the top of the sidebar is the workspace switcher. See Workspaces.
  • The user menu at the bottom opens your profile, settings and sign-out.
  • On a phone, the sidebar hides behind the button at the top left.

2. Search (Ctrl K)

Press Ctrl K (or Cmd K on a Mac), or click Search at the top. Type a few letters. Results include:

  • pages of the app,
  • contacts (by name, phone or email),
  • conversations,
  • campaigns, templates and automations.

Press Enter, or click, to go there. Contacts open the filtered list in Contacts (or the contact's profile for Admins).

3. The notification bell

The bell at the top shows things that need you: you were mentioned in a note, a conversation was assigned to you or escalated, a customer has waited too long, a campaign finished, an automation failed, a number's quality dropped, or the AI provider has a problem. A number on the bell says how many are new. Click one to go to it.

You choose which of these you also get by email under Settings, Notifications. See Notifications.

4. The Help menu

The ? button at the top gives you Read the guide (this guide, opens in a new tab), Contact support (Admins), and a reminder that Ctrl K searches everything.

5. Light and dark

The sun/moon button switches between light and dark mode. Your choice is remembered on this device.

6. Getting started

Getting started (Admins) lists the seven first steps with buttons that take you to the right page. It ticks itself as you go. The same list shows on the Dashboard until you hide it. See Dashboard.

Common questions

A page I expect is missing. Your plan may not include it (look for a lock), or your role cannot use it. Agents do not see Admin pages.

Search finds nothing. Try fewer letters. Search covers your current workspace only.

I cannot find the Guide. Workspace, Guide in the sidebar, or the ? menu. It opens in a new tab.
